The Passport O.R.C.A. WORK
This is a special brochure launched by OR.C.A. exclusively for domestic workers. In this brochure our friend Maya informs her colleagues about their labour rights (e.g minimum wage, working hours, holidays, etc).
She also explains what to do in case of work-related accidents and what to do if you want to participate in the Sunday activities that OR.C.A. organises for domestic workers and au pairs.
In 2013 OR.C.A. launched the book Onze (Ge)Rechten (Our Rights/Our Dishes), a recipe book written in its totality by the participants of the project OR.C.A. WORK.
In this book you will find 26 delicious and unique recipes from world cuisine, all of them as inspiring as the life stories of the authors: strong and courageous women who decided to leave their country looking for a better life for themselves and their families.
These women belong to the hundreds of people that live and work in Brussels as domestic workers, an undervalued work, often performed in poor labour conditions within the hidden world of a private residence.
The domestic workers that wrote this book present you not only the meals that they pleasingly prepare for themselves and for their employers, but also their rights as valuable employees.
We invite you to discover the exotic blend of delicious meals, labour rights and extraordinary life stories that the authors present you in this book. An authentic gem of the ‘hidden’ world cuisine found in Belgium.

Domestic Workers: Seen from a different perspective
This report presents the results of an investigation conducted in 2009 among employers and employees. We wanted to know why so many well-off families are still hiring workers without regular residence. From that point on we formulate certain recommendations to pursue more legality and better labour conditions.
Next to this illustrative material, OR.C.A. has launched other series of publications of great value not only for migrant workers, but for researchers and social workers, too. To see an overview of all publications by OR.C.A., click HERE.
